The super common questions
✧ How does your store work?
As of 2021 I am printing all my own work! Thanks to your support over the last few years I've been able to open my own little print shop/studio. The only prints not made at home are anything larger than 17x22, framed and aluminum options. I work with a lab I trust for these orders.
✧ I'm here for marketing consulting, am I in the right place??
Yes, well kinda. This is my print shop and influencer marketing outreach channel. My consulting services are now available through my contact form.
✧ How long do prints take to ship?
Prints are made to order, please expect 2-3 weeks for shipment as I am traveling and taking photos nearly all the time now, how cool is that? Note that aluminum and framed prints may have a longer turnaround time as they are fulfilled by a professional framer.
✧ Do you ship internationally?
Yep! International shipping is $15 per order.
Framed, Aluminum and Custom Prints
✧ Why would I want one of these?
These are premium options for those who love art. They’re individually numbered and signed. Prints runs are limited, but custom commissions are welcome. They look dope as hell, get two or three for your home or office.
✧ What is the process of purchasing a premium print?
If what you want isn't in the store, all you need to do is email me by clicking here. I work alongside clients to create all custom commissions. Typically aluminum and other premium prints are created at our lab in NY, shipped to me for a second inspection, signiture/number and finally shipment to the final location. Turnaround for this is typically about 3 weeks total but can be rushed for certain prints. Let's chat!
We'll talk through materials, framing/mounting options, delivery etc. This is a personalized approach to decorating your space and collecting fine art.
✧ How much are these bad boys?
All custom prints start at $500.
✧ Which do you prefer your work to be displayed on?
I’m an aluminum guy myself. I like matte aluminums for astrophotography because they’re less reflective than the glossy variant which makes the dark sky scenes more contrasty to the eyes. For daytime landscapes, glossy aluminum hits soooo good. It’s up to you though, we can talk it through, just hit this contact form.
✧ What paper do you prefer?
The Hahnemühle papers are my favorite. The default choice for my prints is Hahnemühle Baryta or Moab Exhibition Luster.
What's important to me is sharpness, vibrance and accurate color rendition and I find that both of these papers are suitable for not only my astrophotography but daytime film photography as well. These are wildly different applications and finding paper that works for both has been a challenge.
✧ Why Aluminum?
It's just different and looks cool. Frames are traditional and always look good but I feel the texture of brushed aluminum gives astrophotos a unique touch. I do think for daytime landscapes the glossy aluminum is gorgeous though, just can be a bit too reflective for my liking. We'll talk about all these considerations when placing a custom order of course!
Aluminum prints hangs off your wall and look damn good doing so. They're ideally best viewed from a few feet away and are highly reactive to different types of light, I recommend placing it in a place that gets plenty of window light!
✧ What about framed prints?
Frames are great for most environments, we have some neat offers but haven't gotten them all directly embedded in the store yet. Our default offering is a black or white wide gallery frame. These come professionally matted and placed, then sent to me for inspection, signing and then final shipment to you. If you'd like a different type of frame, feel free to reach out we have some cool offers!
What size frame should I buy?
We work with a professional print & framing service and can have framed prints delivered to you ready to be hung on your favorite wall - Or you can buy the print and frame it yourself!
Either way, here’s a mock-up of how a wall would look with the different size prints for you to better visualize which size you’d want!
If you want to buy yourself a frame for your print, below are a few online recommendations we have for you. If you'd rather buy in person, you could go to Michaels, or support your local framing shop for a personalized and unique result!
