The Dragons Blood Tree is the main attraction of the Socotra archipelago. Found exclusively on the island, the tree is an endangered beauty. On my trip to Socotra I camped on the Dixam plateau where the tree grows in abundance. This shot of the trees overhead and the milky way rising really expresses how it felt to be in this magical place. Walking through the forest in the middle of the night with nothing but starlight to light the way was a dream come true.
